Your Overdraft Options

As a valued member, you have options for account overdrafts!

Overdraft Options for Your Checking Account

Discretionary Pay is discretionary overdraft coverage provided by CCCU to prevent items from being returned or declined in the event of insufficient funds. Discretionary Pay is designed to help members avoid costly fees and other penalties by paying items rather than returning them when there are insufficient funds in the account. When we pay these items, a fee will be charged for each item and the account will be taken into a negative balance.

Having overdraft coverage does not guarantee that we will pay your overdrafts. If we decide to pay an overdraft, you will be charged fees as described on the fee schedule.

We offer other ways of covering your overdrafts that may be less expensive, such as linking your account to another account with us or an overdraft line of credit. See below for more information about your other options for overdraft.
