CCCU Honors Southern Nevada Nurses During 6th Annual Celebration

Clark County Credit Union has worked with regional medical professionals for years. Nurses often work behind the scenes without the recognition of a doctor, and yet, they are very much the lifeblood of the entire medical community. In order to help show the community's appreciation, CCCU is honoring both local nurses and nursing students during its Sixth Annual National Nurse's Week Celebration.

Big Plans in Store

Between now and Sunday, May 12th, CCCU will show its appreciation for local nurses by offering drawings for an assortment of goodies. Prizes include local spa packages, travel vouchers, gift cards, and other items, all of which are designed to give just a little bit back to those who give so much. Whether you're a nurse or you know someone who is, these individuals frequently work extended shifts and don't always have the time to spend on themselves. CCCU wants to do its part in helping nurses relax, even if it's just for a few hours.

During Nurse Week, which takes place May 6th through 12th, there will be a debit card art contest; all nurses are invited to enter. The winner will earn $500, and his or her design will be used on a future CCCU debit card. Artwork for the card must be submitted by May 12th to qualify for the contest. Those interested should email their submissions to marketing2@CCCULV.com.

More About National Nurses Week

Apart from CCCU’s local celebration, there are festivities planned during this important week all around the country. With over four million nurses in the United States, it is an important week to show them just how many communities appreciate them. The #NursesWeek hashtag will help individuals stay connected on Twitter with what is going on in other cities. So, if you do not live near Las Vegas, chances are there are events taking place around you as well.
